Ace the cat had a rough start in life; When he was a kitten, he was homeless and left to fend for himself on the streets.
Thankfully, he was rescued and adopted by a loving family, but an infection meant he lost an eye.
His owners say his unusual appearance does mean some kids are frightened of him and a home security camera was installed to keep tabs on the furry feline.
What the camera actually captured was a boy who visited Ace every day and what he did was fortunately caught on camera.
Ace’s owner, Norma Maikovich, says the little cat is misunderstood by some people she meets.
“He can seem scary at times, especially to children,” Norma Maikovich, Ace’s owner said. “People are often hesitant to greet him.”
But this is obviously not the case for everyone who meets this adorable cat.
Ace loves to lie in his owner’s driveway during the day. To keep an eye on him, Norma put up a security camera.
What she saw one day warmed her heart.
A boy was filmed visiting the cat every day, undeterred by his appearance, and sitting with him, petting and playing with him.
In one video, the boy and Ace can be seen cuddling and playing together. It’s obvious that Ace loves his mate.
The cat’s true personality is revealed when she is so gentle with her friend and the boy seems so happy to see her and play with her.
“It melted our hearts not only to see how much Ace loves this boy but also how close they were to each other!” Norma said. “Sitting by the front door, as soon as Ace sees his friend, he rushes out to greet him. It’s awesome, this bond they share.”

Today, Ace’s friend no longer needs to sneak into the driveway to play with him; Norma has told the boy he is welcome any time.
“A friend of Ace’s is a friend of ours,” she said. “Once we realized that they were fast friends, it made us really happy.”
I could watch these two play and cuddle all day, it’s so wonderful to see the beautiful nature of both of these friends.
