When animals live with us for a long enough time, they become a part of our family. We can talk to them, laugh with them, and share beautiful moments with them. And of course, we also celebrate their birthdays.
This story that we want to share with you is about a cat named Luna, who was celebrated a surprise Quinceañera to mark her 15th birthday.
Luna has been living with Angel Olavarri’s family since she was 3 weeks old when they found her roaming by the side of the road. They adopted her and have taken care of her with love, treating her like a family member. As much as they like and value Luna, her family felt that she needed a Quinceañera when she turned 15 years old.
(Quinceañera is a cultural custom and rite of passage that occurs when a girl turns 15 years old.)
“Luna is an absolute sweetheart, who loves curling up with people and laying on her back on the floor,” said Angel Olavarria, Luna’s brother. “We have spoiled her with abundant love, and she has outlived all of our other pets. On her 15th birthday, we decided to give our little cheese ball a surprise Quinceañera.”
Cats love us as we love them, but they communicate with us through body language. We believe that Luna also considers Angel Olavarri’s family as her own and we thank them for loving her with all their hearts
