This surprising relationship between this dog and duck reveals animals pick friends not by their looks.

Dogs often get along with cats, but rarely do they befriend a duck.

But when they do, it’s so cute!

Four-year-old Pekin Andy and golden retriever Barclay has created such a relationship, they also prove that animals don’t choose friends by looks, it’s unconditional.

They were taken care of by Pam Ishiguro from Orange County in California.

This relationship started when Barclay found that the duck’s food was much more Yummy than his. Then he decided to sneak in and steal food every day.

As an alpha duck of his group, Rudy’s mission was to chase Barclay away from it. But something we couldn’t imagine is that they have become friends.

Pam said: “When they are together, somebody is always chasing or jumping on someone else, but when they are apart, they’re always calling for each other.”

They play, wrestle, and like to ride around on vacuums together!

“Rudy and Barclay need each other – I think that’s why they have such a strong bond, they’re like the oddballs on the playground, No one else will play with them, so lucky for them, they found each other” Pam said
