Tigger, a 21-year-old cat, was left at the end of his life by his owner in a nearby veterinary clinic. He couldn’t understand why and felt sad and perplexed. But then Adriene Nicole appeared. Nicole made the decision to bring him home after reading his story on the Canton Neighbors website. He needed love and she wanted to give it to him.
Sadly, Nicole soon learned that Tigger had a tumor the size of a golf ball and renal failure. Nicole said, “Even though he has renal failure and we found a tumor, he kicks it like a 12-year-old, so it doesn’t stop him.” We made a list of weird adventures for Tigger’s wishlist,” she said on Facebook.
“Although it’s not much for others, he enjoys all the little trips outside because he loves being outdoors… the beach being his favorite so far,” she explains. “Most importantly, Tigger’s story shows how amazing it is to adopt a geriatric pet and give them the best remaining days! He has forever changed our hearts and will hopefully change the hearts of others when it comes to adopting older pets!”

He has forever changed our hearts, and maybe he will do the same for others who are considering adopting older animals.
